missing tentacles

hello eveyone i got some live LPS coral (i think star coral)on my aquacultured LR from the caribbean i also got crabs too(not me the rock) they are gorilla crabs and i seen one on my coral now they are missing tentacles the mouths are still there they come out when lights are on will they live like this or should i put my attention on the parts not affected thanx

Gorrila Crabs? I'm sorry, but I don't believe those are reef safe. I heard that any crabs with hairs are not reef safe. Maybe those are the culprits. I think corals are generally ok with recovering from damage, and it should be ok and be able to recover over a certain period of time.

Any pics of those Gorrila crabs, just so I know what your talking about. I would get rid of them.

do have any fish in your tank too? my blue tang nip on some of my coral tentacles too?
