Mitras and Profilux questions

So, I'm about ready to buy lighting for my 84x30x24 tank. Every time I see "What LED would you choose" threads, I see a lot of "If I could afford it, GHL Mitras" replies. So the first question is, why? Not trying to be flip, but what makes the Mitras the best?

How many would I need to cover the tank?

Where can I get them?

I've also got a question about the Profilux. From what I can tell, it should be able to do everything I've got my Apex doing now, except I can't figure out for sure if it can control my Vortech pumps. It looks like in theory there's a module to do so, but Vivid Aquariums says the module is available for pre-order. Does it actually exist?

The Mitras does a fantasic job at blending all the led colors and has the smoothest color transition capability I've ever seen on an LED unit. I think GHL produces the most reliable products out of any lighting company in this industry and their customer service is outstanding.

Depending on what you're planning on keeping in your tank, 3 Mitras will cover the tank, but I'd go with 4 if you're going to have mostly SPS.

The Profilux does give you the option to control the Vortech pumps with their Vortech Module. Ask Allen from ReefBytes, he may have one in stock for you.

I have been running a profilux with a vortech module for at least 6 years.
You would need 3 mitras. They do 36" each.
They ave more control than s ny other light on the market. Shoot me a pm if you want some one on one, or ask away. We love to talk Ghl.

This is mine. You can see the vortech module right next to there controller.

Ron I may get you to come up and do all of my wiring and connections on my next build. I can't seem to make mine even 1/10th as clean and neat as yours :)

Really? I hate mine. Its so hard to make it super neat with all those led control 4 passive. That's a lot of wires. 15 just in led control. I'm so due for new lights.
