My wife want me to get a porcupine puffer and I want a mappa puffer. So what I was thinking is to get both. How will these two puffers get along in a 430?

I have a Dogface and Porky in a 220 and they don't bother anybody, only they hog all the food... xD

I have a 300 gallon with a 12 inch porcupine. I had a 5 inch mappa and a 5 inch stars and stripes. The porky was initially fine with them however after about two months became very agressive and began chasing them around the aqarium. I eventually pulled the Mappa and the Stars and stripes out and are currently together in an aquarium by themselves. So to answer your question it really depends on the puffers personality. If you do add them together make sure you have a large tank, plenty of live rock and be prepared to remove one if necessary. Good luck!

I would assume if they were closer in size this might not happen.

I have a dog faced and stripes together and no problems. Size may be the issue as mine are almost matched currently.

if you introduce them early and at the same time they should do fine. i have a porc and a golden in a tank for quite a while with no issues at all.

I have 2 dog faced puffers and 1 porcupine in my tank. They dont pay much attention to each other. They all have their area.
