MJMods Group Buy.....

I am going to Mod the 3 Mj1200's I got from Eric on Saturday with the MJ mod. I am going to buy 3 as of right now, and I figured I would see if anyone else is interested to cut down shipping. The kit is about $25bux plus $3bux for the Carbon Fiber pieces. They require you to already have a MJ1200 or MJ900, and it is a DIY solution and you will need to dis-assemble, cut, re-assemble to get it to work... the sweet thing is it will turn a 295gph powerhead into a 2400gph powerhead..... I will contact them to see if we can setup a group buy, or if we just order them all together.

I heard about this and saw one up in Denver. I think it a good mod in contrast to the expensive Tunze prices.

I made two about a year and a half ago - it was one of the best investments I've ever made for my reef. It allowed me to put my Iwaki 100 (2000 gph @ $30/mo in electricity) in the closet. My two DIY MJ mods produce a total of 3200 gph @ $3.50/mo in electricity. If you use the larger props you can legitimately get over 2000 gph per MJ mod.

Total investment for two off-the-shelf mods including the Maxi Jets is ~$100. If you DIY them it's ~$65.
