mojano wand...

I am so sick and tired on xenia and anthelia all over my SPS tank, nothing gets rid of it. what do you all think about , worth the investment you think?

Didn't someone local (Tom?) DIY an iteration of this? I've got some mojanos that I'd like to zap as well. I know that I wouldn't spend the $115 asking price on this.

I had a major problem with Xenia overtaking my tank a number of years ago. I used fluke tabs and it killed all of them. The downside is you have to deal with the die off. The fluke tabs had no effect on any of my LPS, not sure about SPS though. Try searching for it here. I know others have done this too.

yea i was reading up on fluke tablet dosing, however it goes against advice to treat a whole system. ill just take a few days and really work at gouging these things off the rocks.

i know that the mojano wand is not effective against the pests it was originally designed to kill, but i want to know what about stationary objects such as xenia and anthelia?

I also have anthelia cropping up in my gorgonian tank, and I have manually pulling them every now and then, just to see them regrow...was tempted to try fluke tabs (or PraziPro), but did not want to risk harming any of the gorgonians.

May have to try a zapper if I can find one, but I have seen them in action, and was less than impressed...
