Mollie fuge

Idk if im putting this forum in the right place but here goes. I've been thinking, is it possible to have a tank seperate from from your display to be cramed with saltwater acclimated mollies so they can reproduce. Then thier fry would be swept into the display to feed your planktonivors (i dont think i spelled that right).

Yes. It'll increase your bioload by a lot and you might want to have a separate stock once your population dies out (unless you have some F1 survivors). I also don't know how nutritious they'd be.

If you're looking for a steady supply of fresh food in the tank consider getting a pair (or more) of peppermint shrimp. They are simultaneous hermaphrodites and reproduce every time they molt. The fry are a tasty and natural treat for everyone in the tank, plus you don't have to mess with keeping a seperate tank just for them.

Heck you could put a male and 3 females per male in your display tank..they will reproduce in the display better than they will in a small tank packed with mollies and the more females you have per male the better the females will reproduce as the more females the male has to chase spreads out the constant badgering for sex from the male.. you can also do this with guppies which can be acclimated to full marine conditions as well
