This thread will be a log/build thread for my 125. This was started about 4 months ago. Picked up the tank/stand/hood, plus 200lbs rock and a ton of misc items.
equipment-
125 RR with 29 sump and durso overflows
Reefkeeper lite with PH
3ea 165w blackbox LED
200/300w ehiem heaters
ASM G3 skimmer
DIY Moonlight
Avast ATO with kalkwasser (5g capacity)
Rio 2500 return pump
Jaebo RW20, with two koralia 1200s for flow
I acid dipped the rock, cleaned up the tank, and built a 2x6 riser as the stand was only 28" tall (too short for my taste). Plumed up with a 29 gallon diy sump, with an ASM G2 skimmer I traded some coral for.
let it settle for 2 weeks, then transferred the contents of my 29 gallon tank/20L sump to this system.
Started filling out with all the corals that were cramped up in the 29, and now it's looking pretty nice. I've played with the rockwork several times, and finally where i want it. only have 30ish lbs of sand in it at the moment, but as soon as i can i'll be shooting for a 2" sandbed throughout.
Sump as it sits now
