Ok, my wife isn't into the hobby so of course the one and only piece of coral that she picked out is dying! It is a beautiful red and green Montastrae. It is turning slimmy grey in areas. I superglued on the healthy spots around it trying to block it from spreading. I heard melafix helps this. Has anyone tried this?

sounds like brown slime infection if it was me i would cut off all the unhealthy areas and dip it in some lugols or coral dip of somekind.be sure when you cut it to cut a little ways into the healthy area so you dont bring the problem with it after cutting it!!good luck.also what kind of lighting are you using??

The super glue didnt work. I have 2 250 Phoenix 14's on a 30 sps. I will cut it as a last resort. I hope the dip works. Thanks for the advice.
