Monti cap problems

Hello everyone,

I recently purchased a monti cap frag pack online. This is what I got:

1. 1x Purple Rim Green Monti Cap.
2. 1x White Rim BRIGHT purple polyp Monti Cap.
3. 1x Purple Monti Cap.(IDAHO GRAPE)
4. 1x PURPLE RIM MONTI CAP.
5. 1x Bright Orange Monti Cap.

Everyone besides the orange cap has lost its color. The Purple rim green cap lasted a while but eventually turned white. What could be wrong? I am confused as I have many sps and they are fine. My water is spot on, and I am running two 250 w 20k helios bulbs supplemented by actinics. My tanks is 30" deep.

Will their color return? Is it possible they were bleached and are simply dead or could they still be alive? The green cap with purple rim has a very slight purple rim but the green is gone. The others do not look colorful at all. But what is strange is that the orange cap looks great. What can I do?

I wont even lead you on if you posted this in the SPS Forum you woud have better luck HTH.

They could be bleached by sudden strong lighting.

I was going to ask if you had any heat spikes lately?
My buddy had one and his 8x8 monti is gone.....
His tank got to 86 and that is what happened....SPS really don't like heat unfortunetly.
