Monti Caps

Aquatic Hamster

Hi, I love the monti caps and I would like to add a few more to my tank. I have green-purple rim, peach and orange colors, anybody have frags of any other colors available right now. One time I saw a pic of a purple monti cap, would love to find a nice size frag of that.

Do you use the epoxy to stick them to your rockwork? I can just barely get that to work, sometimes snails knock them off.

Do you plsce them on top of the rocks or on the side?

as of right now i have the following frags

deep purple with light blue polyps and light purple rib
neon green with lighter green polyps and pruple rim
neon orange <-- are different shades of orange.
brick red
neon lime green
gark green with purple rim
military green
dark purple

i have lots of others but no frags right now.
if your in the area let me know and i can break you off a piece no problem. weekends are best or night time. you can see lots of them in my video posted on the forum

I've just used superglue gel with great success. I've worked with the marine epoxy too and while I could get the coral to stick well to it I just never had much luck getting the epoxy to stick to my rockwork. Plus its a good idea to take the frag and make sure most of it is supported by the rockwork. It will grow into its own unique shape and structure.

yeah, i use superblue gel and it works really well, but just make sure its the gel and not the normal kind.

Wow what a week, finally getting back to this thread.

I took a look at your vids Oceana, very nice. I didn't see the purple caps though. Would you have some pics? How much for what sized frag?

turned the lights on for ya to take a few pics.
i did ALOT of rearranging since getting the new acros from fins. now the purple monti with blue polyps is right up front instead of being hidden in the back like i used to be.
