Monti Eatin Nudis? Need Help.

First, my question. Do Monti Eating Nudis only prey on the plating style of Montis? Also, if there are no Monti Caps in my system, will the Nudi population die out, or will they find something else to destroy?

I have been fighting with these little boogers for a couple weeks now. First I lost my green Cap, then they moved to my two red Caps. One of the red Caps was pretty large, but I was able to dip it in Revive. That seemed to stop the spread until I transfered that Cap along with everything else into my new 150g DT. It is now almost completely dead (only after two days), and I did do a second Revive dip in between tanks.

The only plating Cap that I have left is an Idaho Grape that the Nudis haven't messed with (YET). I also have a bunch of Digis, and a couple Encrusting Monti's as well. Are these safe, or will they be infected as well?

I do have a Melanurus Wrasse comeing in tomorrow and will be introduced to hopfully stop the spread of these Nudis along with a few Flat Worm stragelers that made it through the transfer. Do you all think the Wrasse will help?

get youe montis in a qt for 6 months (thats a guess i have read these little devils can go dormant ) and they should all starve

Did the melanurus wrasse help? My fish are in QT for four more weeks (including the wrasse) to cleanse my tank of ich/velvet...but since removing my fish from the display I've monti eating nudis going crazy. I'm wondering if the nudis were always there but the wrasse was controlling their population.

Unfortunately I had this problem in my 75 mixed reef. Had members of my local reef club assist me with removal which means eliminating all the montis from my tank to starve the nudis out...its the only sure way to eliminate them.

They will eat any type of montis so you have to be sure to remove everything. Sucks. I tried dipping in revive but while it may kill off mature nudis I've heard it doesn't do anything to the eggs that may exist.
