I had heard something about some or maybe all nudibranches eating montis corals. Can anyone help me out and give me a solid answer as to which ones to watch out for or are all bad? Thanks
not all do.. the ones that eat the montis are small white fluffy looking nudis to a max of about 5/16 of an inch. look for bleaching areas of your montis. they go mostly for caps but will and can be on all montipora.. there are good threads on RC if you search
The search option did not seem to work. The reason that I ask is I have several of those corals and just wanted to know if one of the lettuce nudibranch were on the "bad list".
they're pretty short lived in captivity, since they eat certain kinds of algae, and once those are gone they'll pretty much die off... also, they have a tendency to get sucked through powerheads
