Monti vs. Algae

I have some dark red (stringy) algae starting to form on a Montipora Cap. Is there something I can do to remove it before it gets out of hand.

If algae is forming there has been tissue recession. If you use a tooth brush on your SPS you will likely stress it out or just flat out kill it, the tissue is very thin and sensitive so be careful. Try to find the cause of the algae first as SPS can bounce back from minor damages.
