Montipora Cap placement

I just purchased my first sps, it is a green montipora cap about 2 indhes wide. I have it placed about 12 - 13 inches from t-5's and about 18 inches from an mp20 pump at full power (lagoon setting). I have several LPS, softies, NPS, etc under these lights and flow. Will this be ok for the monti? Nitrates usually hover around 5-10. I don't plan on adding to may SPS to my setup, thansk

I always try to put my SPS flat. The more surface of the coral that touches the rock the quicker and more secure it will attach to the rock. It will first encrust on the rock then eventually grow up and out.

Thanks MrKite24.
Now I have a purple monti which is flat and is growing at medium slow pace and an orange monti which is upright and is growing at medium fast pace.So let's see.

I have both a purple and an orange and the orange grows faster even though they are both flat. I'm not sure being upright or flat effects growth unless it causes one to get less light.
