montipora has a lighter color on the edge?

is it normal for a montipora to have a lighter color along the edges or is this a sign of somthing going wrong? ( i know another frag at the store turned white and is now dead...) but the mother frag looks like it has a lighter color as well on the edge.. so is it normal or somthing going wrong?

Normal.......new growth is lighter.

Mine do the same thing, the outer edge is almost white, but as was stated previously, thats where the new growth is. When SPS dies, you'll know right away, the look of pure white dead tissue is umistakable.

ok good. so it is as i thought. just wanted to make sure that it wasnt going to turn all white ^^
