Goby and shrimp have been in tank with 5 (3 astrae 2 large nassarius) snails for five months
I wanted to add either a skunk cleaner or a pair of juvenile clowns to my tank but I am hesitant because I tried to add a pair of clowns about 3 weeks ago and they both died within two days (I floated the bag and added water instead of drip acclimating.) And other than the acclimation process idk what could've killed them and don't want a repeat. What do you guys think?

The tank is too small for the clowns, I would say the absolute smallest tank would need to be 20 gallons, and preferably 30 gallons. You could probably get away with adding a firefish, you are pretty limited by your tank size.

I agree with thegrun, your tank is too small for most fish. I would recommend either a firefish or possum wrasse.

I managed to keep a pair of clowns, a pistol and goby pair in my 10 gal tank. The main thing you should watch out is the aggression and can your tank handle the bioload?

And yet experience and learning tell us that a pair of clowns want to control 30 gallons of water.
Can you put a pair of clowns in a 12 gallon? Sure.
Should you do this? No. That's what experienced reefers are telling you and that is why the person saying "sure go ahead" warns you to watch for aggression: a pair of clowns do not belong in a tank your size. Sorry. You've had other suggestions of fish that would work happily and peacefully.
Good luck!
