That would ruin the lens. This is what is used. Or something similar.

yeah its been a father and son operation since the early 1930's. Its a lot of work, for not a lot of money these days, but at times, it has its perks.

Now if I could just convince my dad of putting in a nice office reef.

I had a tank in the stores, behind the cash register islands. Took a while to train the employees on how to maintain each tank, but they actually did a very respectable job. It was really helpfull having the tank at work as I could have coral shipments delivered to the store, I'd just call the store and tell there was a shipment arriving, they knew to unpack and inspect, then float the bags and even knew how to drip acclimate.
