More on ozone...

Old School Reefer
An interesting observation in my tank: when I started monitoring ORP levels and controlling ozone injection, I dialed my set point at about 325 mV. For several days the ozone injector would spend several hours turned on, slowly increasing the ORP level. When it reached that level, of course it shut off, but it would occasionally trip back on as the ORP level dropped below set point. Within the last week or so, the ORP reading has slowly increased higher than the set point, without the ozone injector system tripping on (calibration of the ORP electrode says it's OK). Levels are now about 400 mV, without any ozone at all added in the last week or so, and the water looks great. So, if you're injecting ozone on a regular basis and not monitoring ORP levels, it's risky.
