More strange things growing in the sump

I believe this is a macro-algae, but what kind?? Its growing quite quickly!!

Here's another interesting thing I found. It kind of reminds me of the fuzzy part on a p u s s y-willow, with a flower coming out of one end. And its attached to the chaeto. Any thoughts on what it is??

Cool, thanks Mel. I guess it does look exactly like a pineapple. They just started popping up all over the sump.
 
yup, pineapple sponge. Also called a scypha sponge.

The first macro looks kind of like red gracilaria, but I've never had it.
 
I got some LR with the red stuff awhile ago and it plagued my tank when it went sexual. Trust me, remove it!
 
+1 on getting rid of the red stuff.

I picked up some on a zoa rock and it's been in two of my tanks for 8 months. Turbo snails will eat it, but you don't want to let it go sexual. It will take hold on overflow teeth, acrylic, plastic, glass, LR, everything!
