Talk entitled “Emerging Linkages Between Nutrient Pollution and Harmful Algal Blooms†Given by Dr. JoAnn Burkholder, an associate professor of Aquatic Botany and Marine Sciences at North Carolina State University. Dr. Burkholder's research over the past 20 years has emphasized the nutritional ecology of algae, dinoflagellates, and seagrasses, especially the effects of cultural eutrophication on algal blooms and seagrass disappearance.
