I'm barely on page 78 and this is by far one of the nicest builds I've seen. I'm still in September of 09 and can't even fathom this kind of build.

Key notes as far as I've read so far:
-Custom aquarium built on site @ his house and fully documented
-Skimmer many of us would drool over
-3600w of halides
-Chiller that looks more like a back-up power generator (HUGE) than it does a chiller

Hi,

There is a thread on the big uk forum in the super sized tanks section, with all the build and progress..... The link keeps getting banned.

Ultimate reef.

Basically:
1000 gal. 6ftx8ftx3ft.
9x400w reflux 10k
10 Narva Blue T5
2 kz Fiji purple T5
The pic above was under T5 only.
Bubble king 300 & 500 skimmers.
Aqua phos Fe phos remover with slow flow DI chambers
3 Tritron 420 pumps
1 Tritron 420 Stream pump. Sole in tank circulation.
Ceramic Rock scaping 100%. You can see the dry rock scaping above from when it was made in the factory.

That's it!. I was running original NP biopellets for about 1 year, which were great, but now the system is maturing, the ceramic rock filters everything and I don't need the pellets anymore......

Oh!, I do run UV and ozone as well...

No, this one is reef safe!. I haven't seen it ever nip corals.....
it just eats algae off the rocks :bounce3:
