Most effective coral dip?

Looking to see what you guys/gals think is the most effective dip these days? I'll post a poll, but would love to hear experiences.

I've had the most luck with Bayer.. Works very well and is by far the cheapest. I've read a few threads where some say it's not all that effective on aefw but I have not experienced that at all.. The occasions I have seen them in the container has been with Bayer advanced. And out of the 60+ sps I have I don't have any In my dt.. Well that I have noticed lol..

I also feel it's the least stressful on corals. I don't notice any negative effects with sps. I even dipped an infested encinata(--spelling, is temperamental with dips) in a really high strength dose after cutting it off the plug with no negative reaction.. It's my go to dip a lot less harsh than coral rx imo.. Less slime to me = happier coral..

What concentration do you run the Bayer?

I really don't even measure it to an exact strength but it's about a tsp per cup probably.. Most likely more... I have a jig (shot glass) I use and depending on amount of water I will slowly dump it in while stirring it up to a certain cloudiness.. Def not scientific but I haven't had any negatives yet myself. Fwiw it's a lot more than the 10ml per gallon some threads recommend.

I have a friend that has been using it for a long time(well since it was discovered) and he got me off of coral rx and showed me his way and I kinda stuck with it..

That's what most if not all are doing who use it unless they quarantine corals.

It's pretty easy to either use a flash light in the top of a clear container or pour most of the water out and dilute it. ime most of the dead things sink to the bottom so pouring off the remainder is pretty easy.. I've also poured the small amount of water into a dollar store dish pan I use to dip in if I'm suspicious of something and want a closer look.

I'll deal with that little difference in ease of use traded off for the price and effectiveness. Jmo

I ordered a strainer sieve that is made for brine shrimp and just pour the Bayer dip water through it and it catches everything that has fallen off the coral.

I assume you guys aren't using the Bayer tabs off the shelf? Where are you getting it?

Any big box hardware store should carry it.

I use Bayer, mostly because I'm cheap and coral dips are expensive, but have had great results, I do the pour off the top and add water method to see everything that has come off

I like Revive, for this reason, you can see what comes off the coral.
