Most Plug and Play Skimmers?

I've owned three. A seaclone, which doesn't need explanation. And an MRC MR2 and an MRC Orca Pro II with washdown. The MR2 was a beckett and needed constant cleaning. The Orca is damn near on autopilot.

My current bubble king double cone 200. Put it in, dialed in DC pump over few days and only touch it now to clean it. Going strong since December of this year.

Yikes. I think I passed out for a few minutes when I priced out that MRC Orca.

They aren't giving it away, for sure. But, I'm in this for the long haul and it fit the bill. I think the pricing is inline with Bubble Kings.

I've had 6 skimmers and the two I'm running currently have been pretty much plug and play. Interesting enough they are both Reef Octopus skimmers, a 110 classic that has been running for 2 years and also a 150 Prime INT thats only been in service for a month but so far has been very easy to dial in and has stayed consistent.

^ I did very minimal tinkering with my first skimmer, an old Octopus. I just don't see as many good reviews now with the newer models was there were back 10 years ago. IF IT AIN'T BROKE, DON'T FIX IT!! I wish skimmer companies would stop trying to produce the latest and greatest and just keep selling what already works well with minor tweaks here and there.

I hear ya!. As a matter of fact the 150 Prime INT I just bought is actually a discontinued model, I have no idea why as it has so far been an excellent performer and I see no reason for a need to replace it with a so called "better" model.
