Motoko is a G. Smithii that I've had for a couple months now; and of course she hid in her pvc burrow while I snapped a copuple pics.

its a 10 gal with a mj600 return, 2 x 24w 10k/act combo pc.
misc softy frags from my main tank, 3 chromis recently, I large turbo who is a bulldozer that Motoko leaves alone. the bright white rock center will grow coralline in a few weeks.

1 1/2 PVC burrow has front and back entrance,
rocks are porous gonipora skeleton that has been custom cut and drilled. Motoko uses all the access holes when hunting for food.

lots of views but no comments.

no comments on creative use of a drill to make a mantis habitrail-like setup?

most of the rock holes are 3/4 inch diameter and seem to give a little to spare for Motoko to move about.

the pvc is 1 1/2 diameter and she can do u-turns inside no problem.

the rock on the left has a 2in diameter 'cave'.

I'll stake out in the garage with a few beers and try and get some shots of Motoko popping in and out the various holes.

yeah id like to see his colorings, how long have you had him, most smithii's are pretty sociable im suprised hes not out.

Motoko is a wild one, she likes to watch me browse the internet and so far she hates if my cell phone goes near her, or when I put printed mantis cut outs near her....
