Move Mushroon!

I just got a frag with 2 green mushrooms (not sure of actual name) from the local fish store a couple days ago. The problem is it is like a flat piece of rock with one larger mushroom on one side and a much smaller mushroom on the flip side. I have it placed in my tank in such a way that it is suspended with the big mushroom on top. I thought these things moved and figured the smaller one would eventually make its way off the rock to get light. It has only been a couple days so my questions are:
1. How long does it take these things to move?
2. Is there any other way to get the mushroom off the rock to place somewhere else?
3. Any better ideas?

Thanks so much for your help!

1. They won't always move.
2. You could cut it off and attach it onto a rock where you want it.
3. I'd just leave it.

IMO:

1. It can vary, really. I've had mushrooms move over the course of a couple days, whilst others upwards of a couple weeks. It's all variable :) Normally though, they will move or extend towards the light source to maximize photosynthesis.
2. I'm not sure what shape the rock is in, but if it is possible you can frag the desired mushroom off the flip side of the rock and place it else where. You can use a hammer and chisel of some sort (screwdriver) and go to town with that bad boy. Just be careful not to damage any polyps. I would also recommend chiseling around the polyp and the rock underneath the polyp to be safe.
3. ^+1, just leave it. If conditions are favorable, your mushrooms will grow and you will find yourself with more polyps :)
HTH!

yeah its a really weird rock it is on... its flat and both mushrooms are on the same part... basically same exact spot on opposite sides... otherwise that is a good idea...

I am just gonna leave them alone and hope eventually he moves off of it...
