OK, so I bought 3 little maximas and they lived in my qt tank under 70W MH (10K) lights. So two attached to one rock, and the other, after much walking around, attached to a larger, taller rock.
Now I moved them to my main tank, the tall rock had to be chipped off (I chipped off the piece of rock it was on, to not disturb the byssal threads) and I put the flatter rock on the bottom of the tank. The chipped piece was sitting on this rock now too.
So I'm wondering if I should move the whole rock up higher or not. the main tank is under 2x 175W MH (14K and 12K) and it's a 58g tank, so it's about 20 inches tall. the qt tank was a 10g tank (12 inches)...
Since the clams are all attached now (they were in wt tank for 3 months) do I need to move them? Will they move if they hate where they are?
