moved: Major tank issue

I had been fighting with red slime algea, a couple of times, for the past month or so, and had finally figured out that it was the heat, so I put a box fan on my tank to lower the temp. However, at the time, I was going to be leaving town for 10 days, so I setup the auto feeder, and light timer, and got the algea problem pretty much under control. When I got back, however, I had growth on every side of my tank, and found one dead fish, that I still havent identified. this morning, my 2 clownfish were still swimming strong in all this crud, surprisingly, but by tonight, they had both died, and been partially disolved, which makes me think its something stronger than just algea. So now, I have a dead tank, and I just want some feedback, what could this be?

Need some more information from you before we can determine what exactly is wrong.

How old is your tank? What does your setup contain(lights, skimmer, sump, powerheads)? What are the water parameters?

well, the tank is 75 gal., and pretty young, under a year old. I have a t5, biowheel, and all my tests turned out well, before I left, I figure any tests now would be futile, since I dont have anything left living.

Heat cause slime algae? How well was the test result that you get? Pretty well, semi well, not well? How can we help you if you're holding all the major information that we need to know?

Hmm so let me see here,

You had fish die in your tank, algea break out and you dont think its important to test because your fish died?

OK, lets get some more questions answered...

Here is what we know...
75 g tank < 1 year old
Biowheel filter
T5 lighting

Other things that will help if we knew...
1) Do you have a skimmer? If so, make and model please.
2) What was "to hot"? What temp?
3) Do you have any powerheads to circulate/oxygenate water?
4) What do you use to test? Strips? Drops? What brand are they?
5) When was the last water change?

Thanks,
