Last night got the 75 gal sump in the stand. Did a little final plumbing on the return pump. and got the hose attach to the returns and stand pipes. I didn't put the clamp on yet, figure they won't fit thru the holes. So It looks like the biggest part left is the getting the tank one the stand. Then a few clamps to be put in place. Maybe an hour of this and that. then we should be ready to start filling this baby up.
One question, I had gotten the pink styrofoam from HD to use around the bottom of the tank, The stand is the basic Oceanic stand (open top). We cut the styrofoam to be placed just over the wood, So it is about 4 inches wide around the top of the stand. My question is, Is that to wide? Should I trim that down to like 2 inches, just where the trim of the tank will actually sit? I wouldn't want the excess to end up putting pressure on the bottom of the tank and break the glass or cause a leak? Just want to be safe now, not sorry later for not checking.
Thats to all for you help and best wishes.
Looks like "Team Rena is starting to make that finally turn around the bend. Where is Team Steve?
