So, all my life I have always taken care of fish, bred them, sold them, and moved on to the reef keeping.
Now I am moving away for college in a month and a half, and my apartment allows me to have any pet I want.
So, I am saddened to have to take down my 26 gallon bowfront reef.
All I have in there is basically a giant Frogspawn that I had from 2 heads, which is now 15+ heads.
A blue Maxima clam about 4" and a clownfish with a tuxedo urchin.
This is too much to take care of while in college, so I was thinking why not rebuild my 3g pico that I had before?
This pico was all sent to my 26g when I sold my African Cichlids after breeding them for years.
I will be able to place this on my desk, without it taking a toll on my electricity bill within my roommates.
I was thinking of the following...
Sell the 26g (has tek lights, mp10, koralias, sump, and everything nice)
Possibly keep the mp10 and put it on low setting for the pico? Behind the tank? Not sure if this will be a hazard because of what I want to put in it.
All I plan on keeping is the Maxima clam.
The 3g pico will be thought of as...
3~5 lbs of live rock
Pistol shrimp and goby pair
Lots of Ricordeas and some Zoanthids.
Emerald crab and clean up crew
And maybe, just maybe another species of goby to keep the tank looking interesting.
Please help me out, as I will be putting the tank for sale as of today.
