moving mushroom

one of my green mushrooms is almost bobbing. it is moving 1/4 to 1/2 an inch back and forth and its not the water flow. i was just wondering what this behavior is?

Disconnecting from the rock maybe?

the mushroom also extended its base outward. it was standing about an inch of the rock face. it appears to be back to normal now.

It will eventually detach. I had a rock full of them do this dropped about 4-5 heads to make room.

the mushroom is about an inch from a polyp colony. which has started to spread twords it. i believe the mushroom has split and is about to split again. a section of its base streached out like a finger then broke off. now it has streached out another small section. there was a small baby mushroom in my polyps so i poped it off and stuck it on a frag rock. what should i do? pop them off and move them manually?
