moving question

Alright i am planning on moving in a couple of weeks. Now i have two tanks both about 30 gallons. One tank has about 50 lbs of sand and the other has about 20. The 60 lbs has a horshoe crab and a conch sand is very clean looking and always being mixed up. The other tank only has snails sand is dirty looking. Should i completly change out the sand for new sand or can i rinse it out good? Next question. Water should i reuse as much of the water as possible or all new water?

ok...thats easy. treat it like your doing a water change. take 20 to 25 gallons of water from each tank and use that when you set it up again. then use fresh salt water for the rest. id keep the sand in both tanks, keep the water level just above the sand line. use some wood and slide the tank onto it. Your girlfriend(sorry, I dont remember her name) and you can carry them down to the car without worrying about them cracking/breaking. as soon as you get to the new place, add the old water and the new water and a powerhead for movement.(or the regular filter, dont know what you have). then you can add the livestck and float them while you move everything else. Ive done this several times with no losses. hope it helps.

not sure. it is about a year old now. the top is a little brown in some spots and all the sides between the sand and glass are purple and green. all i might do is when i remove the rocks is vacumn off the top layer to get rid of anything trapped between rocks.
