Moving Zoa

Scooba

I picked up a Zoa rock from my LFS the other day. On the rock were two what I thought were Zoa's, with green tentacles.

Anyone have any thoughts on what addition I may have obtained. Just wanted some started corals to add some color to the tank lol

The two Zoa's were in the open spot to the right green thing. The one in front and the other is in a little crevice in the rock behind the opening. They both retract when you get near them.

turn off all flow and smear it with a Kalk paste let sit for 5-10 minutes , siphon away the kalk and dead Mojano . life on the reef returns to normal

would it be easier to pull the frag plate out of the tank and put it in a bucket and use HOT water squirted directly on it? I don't have any Kalwasser here.

Would I then just use tweezers and pull it off while spraying it?

I was excited once cuz i see a cute anemone lol, heard of Majano anemones but dont know till i got it. i pulled it out right away

Use vinegar! Don't boil the rock because you will kill beneficial inhabitants on and n your rock. Even use a syringe of hot water to kill the anemone!
