I am pretty sure i will be moving around the first of the year. I would like to start studyng now and would love any onput you guys may have. I have read a little so far and understand to drain and keep as much water as possible. I have heard to leave the sand in the tank and add back as much water as possible. I have a few questions.

Do i leave all my corals attached to the rocks or try to remove the ones that i can?

Should i let the system run a few days before returning live stock?

On a 3 hour ride (more than likely in the back of a truck) should i worry about heaters?

Is this going to be as big a bbbeeeooootttcccchhh as i think it will????

Thanks,

My tank is largely a 150-gallon migration of corals, water & fish, as well as other ("gesinta") ingredients from two other tanks.

We used a pick-up truck and a couple (clean) large Brute garbage cans to move it all. Then, we stored everything for several weeks, waiting for a replacement tank, after the original new one cracked.

Point being: a horse water trough will suffice. Just keep the water oxygenated and warm.

Chemical heat paks can be very effective, for the short term. Three hours isn't that much.
