MP 40 Noise

Hey guys, can noise come from the dry side of a quiet drive MP 40 Ecotech pump? Is it the wet side making noise, hard to tell.
I thought the dry side had no moving parts but a have a kind of grinding noise coming from it. The wet side is clean and has been running for a few years.
It is sporadic and has just started to do this about a week ago. It seems to happen on the power stroke of the cycle.
Any thoughts appreciated.
Thanks,
Azraz

Is it humming noise or mechanical kind of noise?
Take the wet side out, disassemble it, inspect it for any crack in the inner parts then clean it and put it back.
That should do it unless there is a part that is broken..you should know when you disassemble it

How long has the pump been in use? Grinding noise could be a sign of the dryside bearings going.

Crap,
I took the wet side off when making the noise and the noise continued, its definitely the dry side.
Newer quiet drive ones also have bearings that need replacing?
They are only a few years old!

If you’re the original purchaser, give Ecotech a call. Be nice and diplomatic and see what they are willing to do to hel... ya never know! :)

Could be the lining up of the 2 parts. Sometimes when I clean mine and put them back in the tank the wet and dry sides do not line up perfectly and do make a noise until I get it back in line
