how would you direct the flow on a curved glass surface? do they make some kind of angled shim or is it.. stick it in one place facing straight forward?...thanks

I don't believe the MP40 would work on curved glass... I have seen people create a box in the tank to angle it, but my view on that is that there are better options if you need something different than 90 degrees off of flat glass.

guess ill stick with the tunze.....i was told they put out a wide flow so they dont have to be angled...is this true

they definitely put out a wide flow, but I do not believe they would work on curved glass. The only reason I am not saying I am positive it would not work is because I have not tried it, but I do not see ow the magnet would hold and power the propeller, but I am 99.999% sure it would not work.

Vortech's don't need to be angled at all. People always throw that out as a negative but it isn't. The flow is SUPER wide and super gentle. No need to angle it where you want because the flow goes everywhere.

I agree though that you couldn't use them on curved glass. The wetside and dryside need to sit flat so they can hold onto each other. The curved glass will not allow this.
