MP10 Noise Help!

Hey fellow reefers I'm a newbie just got a whole second hand setup
Cadlights AIO 22g includ and MP10 2012 manufacture date

Anyway I decided to vinegar bath the whole tank and run everything. I've read alot about the Mp10 and how great it is but this one had a loud chatter which i researched and was about to get either and new dryside or wetside.
keep in mind the pump is broken in and has been making noise which was loud for "the best pump" for 2 days until now tried aligning and vaseline in the wetside tonight i was changing out the vinegar water and started playing with the pump and noticed if i keep the wetside off the glass every so slighty( say 1/4") the only noise i can hear is the motor spinning (just how i would imagine it should be with out the "chatter") so I put the foam cover between the glass and wetside and its PERFECT!

Heres the problem im alittle worried that this might fail?:hmm2:
-need some input on other options?
-the glass i about 3/16" FYI
-there is a spacer on the dryside

I have an extra spacer can i use it between the wetside and glass?

I would recommend totally disassembling the wetside and giving it a thorough cleaning. While cleaning the wetside, make sure you remove any dirt or debris that could have accumulated. Next install the wetside back into the aquarium and run the pump in constant mode at a low overall speed. Gradually increase the speed over the course of several days until the noise goes away.
