mp10 vs mp40 with battery backup

Hi,

I am wondering why is the backup operation time for the mp10 72 hours and only 36 hours for the mp40 if both have similar low power consumption of 8-9 watt.

May be I should clarify I want to buy one and I am mainly interested on the backup operating time. Should I go for the mp10 if it is big enough for my tank? The mp40 seems to be more versatile.

Any experience on backup running times? Somebody told me his mp40 run for one day and a half from the battery. That is quite good indeed!
