MP10QD vs MP10wQD

What's the difference between the MP10QD vs the MP10wQD?

Im looking to order one but one is $235 and the other is $285. I was under the impression that the QD stood for QuietDrive so what's the difference between these two models?

One has the wireless module installed and the other doesn't. You can make a WQD by installing the wireless module in a QD.

What does the wireless module get me? Similar to the jaebo wireless were it creates a linked setup between two powerheads? I only have a 21 gallon biocube now so only need one.

I would buy the wireless model. If you ever upgrade to a larger tank, which you will, you'll be wishing you had wireless capabilities.

Yes, but it's just another item to order and pay for more shipping and handling. Taking apart your driver to install the RF module is not up to everyones skill set too.

Thanks for the advice, I will be ordering the standard setup. The wireless module can be had for the same price as the wireless setup costs new. For what it will save me now, the moderate cost of shipping isn't that large of a deal. Installing the module won't be a big deal for me either. But thank you for the advice, it is greatly appreciated. You are right, a lot of people wouldn't be up to the task of the install and would be a good point to bring up.

I don't get it, do you need the wireless model to connect to reeflink? Or does having wireless mean you don't need to buy reeflink?

Only wirelessly enabled EcoTech Marine products can be controlled via the ReefLink. With that in mind, MP10QD pumps are not compatible with the ReefLink.

Just ordered the RF module for my mp10QD. The controller is wireless capable its got the "W" letter on it that appears to illuminate. Also purchased another mp10wQD so my plan is to link them together
