So a friend has an older MP40w that will run for about a minute then it just turns off. No idea why. This happens whether it is attached to the tank or not, so it isn't an issue of the dry & wet sides not being correctly spaced for the glass.
When it stops, the light on the controller just goes dark, well almost dark, there is a faint white light coming from it. Not the old red / green flash of a jamb.
Is this a bad controller?
