I have an 8ft tank and want to put both controllers on one side of the tank but the cord doesn't reach. Do they provide extensions for the MP40's? Any help would be appreciated!

Check out the Ecotech forum and put a post in there. I know they have made extension cables for others that have asked in there. I couldn't tell you the price off the top of my head though.

I don't believe it can be modified to extend past 8ft. I believe 8ft is the cut of point until the powerhead becomes disturbed.

You raise a good point KT1, however I would only need an extra three feet which I think would be minimal to no strain on the powerhead. Or maybe I'm just kidding myself three feet doesn't seem like much but by no means am I an electrical engineer. Would any expert be able to chime in?

You can send your powerhead to ecotech and they can make it any length you want except > 8ft. It's a $25 fee.
