MP40W ESL addition issue

Good evening,

I've tried to add my MP40W's through ESL, but when I get to the part where you're supposed to hold "Set" for the green/blue flashing, nothing happens. It flickers the speed indicator for a half second and continues to flash white/red. It does this on both of my MP40's.

Anyone have thoughts on what's wrong? I was able to add the Radions with no problem.

It sounds as though you may be experiencing some wireless interference. Please make sure you are only trying to update one VorTech at a time and you power down all other wireless devices in the area. Also, the ideal distance between VorTech controller and ReefLink is 10-30 feet during the update process.

The only additional wireless device was the laptop I was using ESL on, so I'll try it from my desktop. The device is well within 10 feet of the reeflink. Since the Radions mated easily, I'll assume the Vortechs RF tx/rx isnt as strong?

I'll try again with the laptop turned off and report back shortly!

Well you have appeared to be correct! I added the vortechs to ESL w/o an issue with ,y laptop off, but now they have disappeared from my ESL completely. They used to be sitting off to the left not added to the aquarium yet, but now they are non existent. Am I going to have to re-add them?

Got it all fixed; Seems if you don't assign all the Vortechs after adding them they wont stay idle in the holding area. Lesson learned: Add them to your aquarium after you integrate them to ESL, one at a time.
