MR-2 vs. ASM G-3

Hey,
I need some input on which skimmer to upgrade to for my 62 gallon. I bought a Euro-Reef CS5-2, but I want to get a larger, and more efficient skimmer. Right now, I am debating between two skimmers, the My Reef Creations MR-2, and the ASM G-3.
If I go with the ASM, I would do the recirculation mod, but I don't know if it would be more efficient than the MR-2.

I already have a PanWorld 100PX for the becket style, MR-2, if I decide to go with that skimmer. I don't really know how to have the skimmer return to the sump though. Does the MR-2 have to be elevated to flow back in to the sump? Or can I just have the return from skimmer go directly into a hole in the sump?

The initial cost of both skimmers would be the same, I just don't know which would be the better skimmer for my tank, which will be around 80 gallons. Please let me know which one you would choose and why. Thanks.

Honestly, I don't think that I would need that large of a skimmer. My system will only be around 80 gallons...
Plus, it's a huge jump, price wise, from the G-3 to the G-4. They rate the G-3 up to 180 gallons, which is 100 more gallons than I will have. It really comes down to these two skimmers I mentioned.

Thanks for the link rurouni!

It seems that people who have the ASM love it, and people who have the MR-2 love it also. As I said, I'm sure either will be more than enough for my tank.

The only thing that bothers me about the MR-2 is that it's recommended to have the skimmer sit above the sump. I don't have that kind of room in my stand, so the ASM is looking really nice right now...

For your tank the ASM G3 will be great. I think the MRC2 will be overkill. Unless you are buying for the future I think the ASM is the way to go for you. I run a MRC2 on my 180g tank and I've used the G2 so I have some direct experience to your question.
