Mr aqua 11.4 build

I just got a new Mr aqua Rimless tank and am deciding how I want to go about setting it up. I am deciding between making it into an aio or drilling it for a sump. I am planning on this going on my desk with a DIY led setup. This is my first Rimless tank and was wondering if I should put foam or build a platform for it to set on so its completely flat underneath. Any input would be appreciated thanks.

I think personally drilling that tank may be risky due to the thin glass it is constructed of. Not saying it can't be done, but I have the Mr. Aqua 25 gallon and the glass is scary thin.

I would drill it and put a glass holes overflow style on it. Having a sump is always better if you have room for it. Like tpallas said, just take it really slow when drilling it.

I have drilled several tanks but never any with glass so thin. I'm not sure that's what I want to do this is going on a desk and I don't really like the idea of having a sump under my feet. But all of my other tanks have sumps and I know that the more water in the system the better. Did any of you guys with the Mr aquas put anything under the tanks?

When I had mines, I just put one of those white poster boards that you can get at a craftstore (Michaels) for about $3. I actually took it from my wife, since she likes to craft. I kept the tank a bare bottom with just a pair clowns and a rose anemone. I have since sold that tank and upgraded to an ElOS.

I am sitting here with the tank on the desk and I think I am going to turn it into an aio. I will get some pictures when I figure out how I'm going to do it.
