I have an MRC skimmer that has all of sudden seem to stop working right. I have taken the it out and cleaned the becket, and intake and drain lines. It is run off of my Ampmaster 4000 return pump. It is valved down for contoll.

The problem I am having is it seems to be filling with a ton of micro bubbles in the chamber and mixing correctly. It will also plusates/burps in the chamber, what I mean is it will fill up then it burp and drop down about a 1/2 inch. All i can get out it is white foam bubbles. Any ideas what to do? No matter what I do for settings it does not work right? TIA

Im not sure which MRC skimmer you have but they all required presure rated pump. I have a few question for you

Is your air intake valve wide open?

Do you feed enough water/presure into your becket injector?

If you need help with the skimmer, call me. I used to own the MR3. I know how to tune this badboy. 714 254 5671

Also, the burping to me suggests your skimmer drain is somehow not flowing freely. Turns? Bends? Obstructions?

i think its the pump.. its not pumping like it used to, but even when it is, it wont run like it should till you put a good pressure rated pump on it. i promise it will make a WORLD of difference. make sure you have the new style injectors.. they put alot less pressure on the pump and will also make just as much difference.

I am running an Ampmaster 4000 pump. Which I beive is pressure rated. The pump is making no noise other that normal and seem to be running at the same temp (to the touch). There is a 90 elbow on the inside on gate valve. I bought this used so I assumed this is supposed to be there. Does anyone know? It was working great then all of sudden stop working right.
