Mrs. Wages Pickling Lime

in tennesee, H. G. Hill's grocery store will sell a case for $20.00. the sticker price is only $1.88, X's 12 = $22.56. i offered the manager $20.00 and he agreed as long as i paid the 8.25% tax. i shop there alot, that may have had some influence. you might wanna shop around for a better price/different stores. have a great day :)
 
I'll go in on it with ya. If you want 1/2, then ppurcell and I can each take 1/4 or we could each do 1/3. Doesn't really matter to me. LMK.
 
I was in Walmart two weeks ago and they had it clearanced for $1. I cleared the shelf of course. This was out by Galina, so I'm not sure anbout it being local to us, but that's pretty cheap
 
Ostrow says he has a source for 50 pound bags of Mississippi Lime for $50. Divided four ways would be $12.50 for about 3X the volume.

I'm cool with the deal as aiko presented it and I have no personal experience with either variety. Both are apparently food grade. Figure that since the price is about 1/3 the Mrs. Wages price I'd see what the group think was on the subject.
 
I checked and with shipping it brings the price to:
$42.99 + $12.32 = $55.31 for 12 lbs.

What's the verdict, stay with the Mrs. Wages for $4.60/lb or go the Mississippi Lime route for $1.00/lb?
 
I d'ont know, should we all check our local walmarts first? I hate paying shipping but then again I hate paying tax too......


what to do?
