MSX 200 VS Octo Extreme 200

I originally planned on going with Octo Extreme 200 just like a few other people I have seen on the board have found it impossible to find. The MSX 200 is readily available, does anyone know the main differences between the two besides the name on the body? Thanks for any help

I think the diffrence is customer service...from what i have experienced and from what i have read from others coralvue(octopus) is less then fun to deal with.I am going to upgrade my skimmer in the near future and am thinking about the msx 200 myself.I refuse to put any more money twords a company that doesnt stand behind the product they put out.

The msx pinwheel is slightly better and the octopus reducer is nicer but essentially the same skimmer.

I've seen some numbers that show the MSX PW is quite a bit better. If you are running PW, that is something to consider. If you will be running MW, its not. I haven't dealt with CV customer service, so no opinion there. I have dealt with MS and they have been very good.

I would go with the MSX myself, I have the msx 250 and it is awesome. Everyone is switching to the msx pinwheel anyway it seems, so why not just get the msx right from the start?

Marine Solutions is a great place to deal with. They are my LFS, so I am lucky in that respect.

The MSX guys are great to deal with.
