Anyone have any experience with a Multicolor Angel (Centropyge multicolor)? What are they like in terms of aggressiveness and their tendency to nip at corals or calm mantles? How would you compare them to others in this genus in these areas? Thanks.
I had one for a couple of months -- after that it just stopped eating, and wasted away -- treatments of pazi helped short term, but think it was too late.
Anyways, it was a great fish, and it shared my 58 with a Potter's. Left my clams alone, zoas, and only minor nipping at my SPS. Plan on getting another one one of these days.
No direct experience, but the literature list them as one of the more aggressive Centropyge angels. Maybe not Cherub bad, but similar to Lemonpeels, Flames, & Potter's.
I have had two of them. One was a model citizen, the other was a nipper. I cannot say they were super aggressive, but they were NOT passive fish. Very pretty!
Maybe mine was an odd ball, but putting it in with my existing Potter's was very easy -- left it in a breeder box for 24 hours and then released it. Once in a blue moon there was some minor chasing, but my pink skunk pair did more chasing.

Also, to add to my earlier comment - they get dull as they get older and larger. I bought mine at a large size to begin with, and after a year he lost nearly all the blue highlights - turning into a muddy looking, mostly black and white fish.

I just sent mine back to the LFS not too long ago. Behavior wise he was a bit aggressive, the fish in my tank are a lot more out in the open now that he is gone. The main reason he was returned is because he flat out attacked my SPS, he killed a bunch of frags and I still have others recovering. I had zero PE when he was in the tank as he would pick at is constantly. He left my acans and zoas alone but loved the SPS.
