Multiple types of clowns in one tank....

Currently I have a pair of Maroons in a 100 gallon tank. They tend 7 anonomes with an 8th on the way, (one is obviously in the early splitting stage).

My question is, how big of a tank would I need to add a Perc pair?

I would move one of the anonmes to the oposite side of the tank. The Maroon's won't wander from their main anonomes.... at least I think they wouldn't go after a solo anonome on the oposite side of the tank. The male NEVER leaves any of the anonomes, and the female only leaves briefly, with rapid hurried swimmming. A max range of about 8 inches.

I am not going to tempt it in my current tank, they are basically in the middle and would only be about 12" apart from the closest anonome.

However, in a few years I will upgrade. I figure 200-250 should be fine, which would be nice since my sump is built for that size. Basically just asking for reassurance, and to see if anyone has done something similar....

Thanks

With maroons and a 100gal tank you cant they will decimate any other clown pair you put in there i had a 100gal tank with an established pair of maroons who were in the tank for 6 years tried to add a pair of true percs because of a tank crash and 3 days later both percs were no longer with us.

maroons arent the best for keeping anyother clowns with i would stick with the maroons and nothing else.

i have a 300 gal tank now with 2 pairs of ocellaris and i had to take a pair and put them into my sump because they were fighting very badly. some people say you can do it i had 2 instances recently where i couldnt.

just be prepared to take a pair of the fish out should anything bad happen and have a spare tank ready if you do
