Do you think this color change is due to too much light? uploadfromtaptalk1424988959446.jpg

I can't really make out coloration on your pic. But I can say that I have found many chalices to be among some of the most light sensitive corals I have kept, even lower in the tank under my 6 bulb T5 fixture running 39w ATI bulbs. I don't know anything about your LED, but a higher powered unit could easily scorch a chalice I would think.

If it's losing color I think it's a reasonable precaution to move it to an area with less light, even partial shade like you would find under a ledge. Give it some time and move it out slowly. Where do you have it positioned now and what are the details on the lighting? GL.

I can almost confirm that that is to much light. The reason I can say that because look at the portion that is coming in direct contact with the light. That seems to be the effected "bleached" area. Now look at the part of the chalice that has grown down. That seems to be doing a lot better, why because in my opinion it is happier because it's not in direct light. Now the bleaching will continue to the healthy tissue if it's not moved. My reccemendation would be place it in low light and flow.

I have a reef breeder 48" and (2) dual 48" t5ho I keep my mummy eye on the sand bed at about 200 par give or take and the growth is great.
