This mushroom is unlike any other I have both in color and texture. In searching sites I have not seen one that resembles it. Anyone have an idea as to identity and place of origin?

Thanks.

looks like to be some form of rhodactis -do you have any more pics of it, like a whole body shot?

This is a full body shot from about two months ago.

I have seen these for sale on the internet. They are usually referred to as a Discosoma species. There is a flourescent green type also.

Nice color Nikon !!

Like the fuzzier green one too, but the red is a great color for a tank highlight.

Thanks Allie, that one is more maroon with a steel grey undertone. Here is a picture of one of my reds that really stand out.

do you have any pics of the red one w/o any color adjustments??

Best I can do right now is a full tank shot. This is WYSIWYG under 250w MH 14k's with 50/50 pc's. The first shroom posted in thread is on the bottom under the yellow tang. The bright red one is under the anemone.
